R. Gass and Family Contracting LLC is a multi-service contracting company based in Brick, NJ, serving clients across NJ, PA, DE, SC, and FL. They specialize in expert land clearing, site preparation, excavation, and precision grading with a focus on building top-quality horse arenas using 2D grading systems. Their services also include building pad grading, sewer and water connections, and preparing land for construction, development, or landscaping. The client came to me looking to build a strong and recognizable brand identity.

The Challenge
R. Gass and Family Contracting came to me looking to build a strong and recognizable brand identity. They needed a bold, versatile logo that reflected their values and the specialized nature of their work, with the flexibility to expand into additional service-specific logos as the business grew. In addition to the branding, they also wanted apparel designs and a website that would help establish credibility, showcase their services, and attract new clients.
The Solution/Final Deliverables
I worked with the owner to create an illustrated logo that focused on the equipment used in most of their projects. He wanted something bold and memorable that really highlighted the type of work they do through the equipment itself. Later on, he came back and asked for two additional logos—one for tree services and another for horse fencing—both designed to stay consistent with the original look by featuring the specific equipment used in those services. During this time I also worked on apparel designs and helped build a website that showcased their services, included client testimonials, and featured before-and-after photos from various jobs.
