Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey

Susan G. Komen Central & South Jersey was the local affiliate of the national nonprofit dedicated to ending breast cancer. They served 13 counties across the region, providing access to education, screenings, and support services for those affected by the disease. The organization has invested millions into local health programs and breakthrough research. Signature events like the annual MORE THAN PINK Walk help raise awareness and funds to continue their lifesaving work.

The Challenge
While working at Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey, I was tasked with designing promotional and event materials that would generate excitement leading up to the annual More Than Pink Walk. The goal was to refresh the look from the previous year with bold, energetic graphics that reflected the spirit of the event and encouraged community involvement. Alongside the main walk, several smaller fundraising and awareness events—such as the Pink Power Party, Komen Days at local businesses, and various conferences—also needed consistent, on-brand visuals to help spread awareness and build momentum.
The Solution/Final Deliverables
I created a wide range of promotional materials including social media graphics, flyers, and postcards to advertise the events, while also designing on-site materials like event maps, pamphlets, infographic signage, and more. Each piece was crafted to reflect the positivity, strength, and unity that define the Komen community. In addition to design work, I was also responsible for photographing the events, capturing the energy, emotion, and connection among participants and volunteers to help visually tell the story of Komen’s impact. These images were later used to promote future events and showcase the powerful support network behind the organization.
